Who we are
Smoke and Bells is a small, family run business that originated in St. Louis, Missouri in 2014. Having moved to Asheville, NC in 2018, we now have a machinist on our team with over 20 years experience in welding, electrical, and metal work. We have a strong passion for restoring antique light fixtures to what would have been their original beauty. We carefully hand select each chandelier, sconce, or lamp by meticulously searching antique shops, estate sales, and all over the world via online sales and auctions. While we gravitate toward Art Nouveau and more rare designs such as nautical themes, crests, lions, etc. we do our best to have a wide variety of styles and eras. You can generally find a selection of Victorian, Art Deco, Art Nouveau, Tudor, Empire, Spanish Revival, Gothic Revival, Neoclassical, and Arts and Crafts fixtures within our gallery. If we do not have what you are looking for, please reach out and let us take the search off of your hands. We always do our best to locate what our clients want! What we do
At Smoke and Bells we professionally clean, restore and rewire antique and vintage light fixtures prior to offering them for sale in our gallery. We always work to retain as much of their original character as possible. All of our lighting is professionally packaged and sent to you free of charge, unless otherwise noted. They arrive ready for installation in your home, with minor assembly such as placing crystals or screwing in glass shades. Although their hardware has been updated for safety in your home, these are still antique and vintage fixtures. They may have some wear, "imperfections" in the paint and patina, and are very fragile pieces of history.You are always free to contact us with any questions. Thank you, The Smoke and Bells Folks!

I have over 10 years of antique lighting experience and education from top antique lighting galleries, electrical coursework, and self-education through numerous texts. Antique lighting is my passion and I make certain that it shows through every light that enters our shop! From the initial purchase to a satisfied client, I oversee every fixture's journey, ensuring we continue to receive no less than 5 stars. We have restored, rewired, and safely shipped every style of lighting from large and delicate crystal chandeliers to heavy cast iron sconces.
